I'm a Japanese-Brazilian photographer, visual artist and researcher living in Stockholm. My creative work stems from my career as a photojournalist with an academic background that includes Bachelor in Journalism, Specialization in Modern and Contemporary Art and Design and an MSc in History. 

 

Passionate about music, dance and entertainment, I have worked for a decade as a photojournalist and editor for Brazil's broadcast network, TV Globo, and as a partner at Brazil's entertainment photo agency, Brazil News Agency.

 

My work in art and research combines techniques and personal experience to create intimate portrayals of humanity, where women, feminism, gender, diversity, intersectionality and human rights are at the core.

 

Academic experience comprises positions as Photography and Media Studies assistant professor at Brazilian Fine Arts university, Belas Artes, at both their Advertising and Fashion Design Bachelors.
